Coaches Corner

Meet the Coaches

Kevin Wexler

Co-Director

Coach Wexler brings many years of coaching and playing experience to camp. He has coached at the College and High School levels. Additionally, he played catcher for SUNY Brockport and the Newark Bardge Bandits, an independent professional baseball team. He is the former Greece Olympia Varsity baseball coach, modified softball coach and  actively coaches his children in Pittsford Little League.  Coach Wexler is the Vice President of Baseball for Pittsford Little League and he emphasized the importance of a positive youth sport experience in an inclusive environment. Kevin teaches Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education at Greece Olympia High School.

Jason Wasserman

Co-Director 

Coach Wasserman has directed baseball camps for 22 years in Brighton. He is the former Varsity Baseball Coach and currently he is coaching modified football and varsity bowling at Brighton High School. Jason is a Physical Education teacher at Twelve Corners Middle School in Brighton.  Coach Wasserman has watched many of his athletes play at college baseball.

Chris Monroe

Coach 

Coach Monroe has been a middle school PE teacher for 24 years and is one of our very talented lead summer coaches. Chris is currently the assistant varsity coach for the Webster Thomas Baseball program and he coached several years as a JV baseball coach.  Chris  spent years working baseball camps and clinics, along with coaching travel baseball in Webster for the Webster Warthogs. Coach Monroe has also helped coach a tournament team that has played at Cooperstown Dreams Park, Delaware Sports at the Beach, and the Cal Riken Experience in Aberdeen, Md and in Myrtle Beach.

Chrissy Phalen 

Softball Coach 

Chrissy graduated from Greece Athena and received a Division one scholarship where she played four years at the college level. Coach Phalen was recently inducted into Greece Athena's sports hall of fame. Coach Phalen is a certified elementary teacher and has a passion for teaching girls how to pitch with appropriate fundamentals. Coaching softball is important to Chrissy because she believes many life lessons like perseverance and hard work can be learned on the field.
